Editor's Note
The Gebze Camlik Namazgah was an open-air place of worship situated during the Ottoman period in the area of today's City Square / Camlik Park. As Gebze grew, the Camlik Cemetery came to lie in the town centre, and the graves were later moved to another cemetery. The former cemetery site was then landscaped and has now become a park.
