Editor's Note
Its inscription reads: "Newly built by Saadet Hanim, daughter of the late Remziye Hanim. 1326 (1908-09 AD)." The fact that the fountain is popularly known as the "Priest's Fountain" probably suggests that it was originally commissioned by a priest and later renovated by Saadet Hanim.
