Editor's Note
This is the water well of the Hagios Demetrios Monastery, whose existence was known until recently. A marble cover measuring 96 by 96 cm sits over the well. The part from which water was drawn is carved in a circular shape, and above it a Greek inscription reading AL...? DHMMTPIOS can be made out. Source: Tuzla Tarihi, Mustafa Ozdemir, 2018.
