Editor's Note
It was found in the Alibahadir Neighborhood Cemetery during the 2018 "Istanbul Province Surface Surveys (IstYA) Project Beykoz Studies." Made of limestone, it is inscribed on one face and bears traces of green paint. It stands facing another, uninscribed gravestone of similar form. From its inscription, it is known to be a gravestone belonging to Flavius Syron and his family. It is 150 cm high, 70 cm wide and 50 cm deep. A shallow rectangular recess is visible at the mid-height of the body.
