Editor's Note
The founder of the lodge was Gozluklu Ahmed Efendi. He was known as "Gozluklu (Bespectacled) Ahmed Efendi" because he wore glasses. Apart from Huseyin Vassaf, we have found no other source that gives information about him. In his book, Vassaf refers to it under the name "Sutluce Lodge" and says it was a place that served as a refuge for the devout. The lodge's adherents were generally boatmen. Devotional dhikr ceremonies of the mystics were held there.
