Editor's Note

Built in the 18th century, this mansion has a square plan, two storeys and a low pyramidal roof with eaves. Its traditional style has been spoiled by the repairs it has undergone, and a second-floor balcony - like the eaves converted to masonry and concrete on the seaward facade - has been added. It was registered under protection number 70 in 1971 by the Council for Immovable Antiquities and Monuments. (Orhan Erdenen, Bosphorus Waterside Residences, Vol. 2, IBB Kultur A.S., 2006)
