Located on Motorcu Street, this wooden waterside mansion, two storeys above a masonry service floor in the traditional anonymous house type, was one of the first examples of the broad, low Bosphorus mansion type that should be preserved exactly as it is. Set in a spot sheltered from the southwesterly and northeasterly winds, this seafront structure with its boathouse, together with the three plots on which Waterside Residences No. 2 and 3 also stand, was a single building before it was demolished. It was restored and renovated in 1992.
