The mansion on Saip Molla Avenue also had a promenade ground and a now-vanished sea pavilion. Built in the 19th century on reclaimed land, it is two stories with a square plan above a plinth floor. The shore mansion, which had fallen into ruin, was restored in 1988 and was registered under protection No. 26 in 1971 by the Council for Immovable Antiquities and Monuments. 2) 1) Subasman (plinth): the part of a structure, building, or wall that rests against the foundation, lying below the ground or entrance level but above the soil—the base of the building. It entered Turkish from the French word "soubassement."
