Editor's Note
This marble structure in the Kum district of Amasra began to be uncovered through a rescue excavation in 2022, and from 2024 it became a scientific excavation under the direction of Prof. Dr. Fatma Bağdatlı Çam by presidential decree. The structure is a Stoa of the Corinthian order, with unfluted columns and opus reticulatum masonry on its northern side. During the excavations, a further unit of the building was uncovered to the south and west, and it has become clear that the area where the stoa stands was probably an Agora (a temenos/precinct?).
