Editor's Note
It was built in 1863. Standing 77 metres above the island on which it sits, it flashes at 10-second intervals and its light can be seen from a distance of 20 nautical miles (37 km). The tower is 3 metres high, with a keeper's house adjoining it. Living in this house are the fourth-generation descendants of a lighthouse keeper's family responsible for the upkeep of the tower and the building.
