Editor's Note
After the Great Edirne Fire (Harik-i Kebir) of 1905 in Kaleiçi, this building was constructed in 1908 by Dr. Dimsa, commissioned to Greek architects and painters, and designed as a doctor's residence with a consulting room. It was later used in the same way by Fuat Koman, the father of İlhan Koman. Following an expropriation decision in 1990, it began to serve as the building of the Edirne Council for the Conservation of Cultural and Natural Heritage, and today it is used as the EKVKBK service building. Contrary to common belief, İlhan Koman was not born in this house that bears his name.
