Editor's Note
It stands beside the Polak Mektep (Polish Convent School), founded in the 19th century by the Polish community of Edirne. After the first building of the Polak Mektep, today used as the Murad I Anatolian High School, burned down in the Kaleiçi fire, the present building was constructed in 1907. The structure here is thought to date from the school's earliest period. The school building, later used as a Bulgarian Catholic School, is referred to together with the church as the Bulgarian Catholic Church.
