Editor's Note
It is located in the central district of Edirne province. It was built on a burial ground where Ottoman soldiers who died while being treated at the Edirne Military Hospital during the Canakkale and Balkan Wars were interred. The site, owned by the Edirne Municipality, was handed over to the Edirne Association of Martyrs' Families in 2015, and a martyrs' memorial was built on it. The cemetery was registered as a First-Degree Archaeological Site by decision no. 1714, dated 14 May 2014, of the Edirne Regional Council for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage.
