Editor's Note
It is located to the west of Edirne city center. The redoubt appears to have had a circular plan. Among the earthen mounds placed to the northwest and east of the courtyard there are gun emplacements. It is known that during the Russian occupation of Edirne in 1829, only some earthen fortifications and redoubts were hastily built. This redoubt may also have been constructed in that period. It is one of the 30 redoubts encircling Edirne city center within a radius of about 5 to 6 km.
