Editor's Note
The structure consists of a rectangular-plan barracks building in the center of a courtyard, with artillery rooms arranged around that courtyard. It was built between 1886 and 1888 by Ismail Hakki Bey and the Fortification Commission. It is one of the 24 redoubts that formed Edirne's defensive line and encircled the city.
