Editor's Note
This building, belonging to the Greek doctor Kerameas, was built in 1880 by his father-in-law Ioannis Sirmo. [2] After the Balkan Wars and the First World War, when the Greeks left the city, it served as the Türk Ocağı building until 1932. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk delivered a speech in this building during his 1930 visit to Kırklareli. Sold to the Republican People's Party in 1937, the building was thereafter used as a children's home and a tuberculosis dispensary. It was purchased by the Kırklareli Provincial Special Administration in 2002 and restored in 2013.
