It appears that information about this fountain appearing in most publications has been confused with the surviving Hacı Hasan Fountain. The fountain is said to have been built on Karaumur Square, formerly used as a marketplace, and later moved to a narrow street behind the old market site. Seen in a postcard photograph, the fountain has a semicircular arch with a projecting keystone and a square-shaped basin slab. 1 It has not survived to the present day.
