Editor's Note
This residential building in the Karakaş neighbourhood was built over two storeys, of masonry and timber framing. The building consists of a ground floor and a first floor. Its entrance is on the façade facing Hasanpaşa Avenue, in the form of a recessed niche reached by steps. Above the entrance niche is a segmental arch. The upper floor projects on two sides, resting on timber-clad brackets. The ground- and first-floor walls are brick-infilled timber framing. On the first floor, the fronts of the projections are timber-clad, while the other façades are plastered. A wooden storey moulding runs all the way around the building.
