Editor's Note

Consisting of a ground floor and a first floor, the building is planned in stepped fashion so that the central section is taller. Its wide, arched entrance is at the centre of the façade facing Hasanpaşa Avenue. Above the entrance is a projecting balcony that also serves as a canopy. Bearing traces of traditional Ottoman residential architecture, the building has wide eaves whose undersides are lined with wooden lath. With the ground floor taller than the upper one, the building's windows are arranged singly on the ground floor and in pairs on the upper floor.
