Editor's Note
This church, located 450 metres southeast of the village centre, on the right of the Balkaya-Aksicim road and 200 metres southwest of it, was shaped by hollowing out a natural rock mass. It is surrounded by numerous rectangular tombs cut into the rock. The entrance to this rock-cut church is on its north side. Although part of the rock-cut iconostasis of the single-nave church has broken away, it can be seen that it had three arched openings. Just to the west of the church is a pithos-shaped jar carved into the rock, probably made for storage.
