Atatürk Arboretumu

It was established in 1949. Infrastructure and planting work continued, if slowly, until 1982. In that year, in connection with the celebrations marking the 100th anniversary of Atatürk's birth, it was named the Atatürk Arboretum, and on 12 July 1982 it was granted the status of a Forestry Management Unit, the smallest administrative branch of the Ministry of Forestry.
