Kanlı Tabya, at Çatalca, is one of the fortifications that reinforced the capital's western defence in the Ottoman period. Taking its name from the clashes fought nearby, the battery reflects the tense past of the Çatalca line. Silent today, the structure was once a critical point of defence.
