Ulukent Cami

Editor's Note

The Ulukent Mosque is a cultural property registered by decision no. 7247 of the Erzurum Regional Board for the Conservation of Cultural Property, dated 25.08.2025 [1]. Built using rubble masonry technique, the mosque uses rough-hewn stone and wood as its main materials. According to historical records, the last-congregation porch was added to the building in 1896; the original minaret is recorded to have been of wood but to have collapsed over time. The present-day minaret is made of cut stone and has a single balcony.
