Inscription and History: On the south facade of the building, within a triangular pediment, is a nine-line inscription. The inscription is written in celî sülüs script and its language is Ottoman Turkish. It reads: "1- Mashallah 2- 1290 3- Year 4- Harâc Zâde Es-Seyyid Ahmed Hamdî 5- O God, make the owner of this charitable work endure forever 6- You are both Grateful and Forgiving; do not leave him in pain 7- You know my words and deeds; at the door of good works 8- With Your protection, let me serve the saints diligently 9- Always make me, Your servant, a companion. Mercy."
