Editor's Note
The cinema building was designed in 1953 by the senior architect Münci Tangör. Construction began in 1954. With 1,350 m² of enclosed space and 1,500 m² of open area, the cinema opened on 6 August 1958. The auditorium, seating 750, has special acoustics and a stage arrangement. Until 2008 it hosted many important films and theatrical events. Between 2008 and 2013 it served as a cultural center. In 2013 it closed due to neglect.
