Editor's Note
It stands within the boundaries of Velimeşe neighborhood in the Ergene district of Tekirdağ province. On the road leading to the recreation area, this fountain has a rectangular plan and a wide reinforced-concrete trough. Its three-line Ottoman construction inscription on the façade reads "The benefactor, Hacı Ahmed Ağa of Velimeşe, in the year Jumada al-awwal 1349" (1931). The inscription bears a pediment above it and two cup niches. It was registered as an Immovable Cultural Property Requiring Protection (Group 1) by decision no. 5494 of the Edirne Regional Directorate for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage, dated 01.11.2018.
