The remains of an old waterway can be seen on grazing land about 1.7 km east of the center of Çakıllı. On the pasture, very close to the surface, a vaulted water channel built of rubble stone has been exposed by soil erosion or by treasure hunters' digs. The channel is roughly 80 cm wide and 120 cm high. Visible in places at ground level, it can be traced for about 100 m. Because the structure is unprotected, it is gradually being lost to human and natural forces. According to the inventory report, it dates to the Roman period.
