Editor's Note
In the Ceylanköy Cemetery to the north of Ceylanköy, 4 gravestones were recorded; they include: a woman's stone with a triangular crest dated AH 1324; a man's headstone with the upper part of its inscription missing dated AH 1338; a gravestone with a footstone and a fez-topped headstone dated AH 1342; and a turbaned headstone of which the first two lines of the inscription survive. Active burials continue in the cemetery; the old cemetery fabric extends across the centre and south of the cemetery area; and some of the historic gravestones stand upright while others are damaged.
