Editor's Note
The Agios Philippos Fountain, also known as the Anna Komnenos Fountain (locally called the Ayafilbo Fountain), was a structure that has not survived to the present day and was built together with a chapel in the 14th century. Located in the Esentepe district (formerly Ayafilbo district), adjacent to the Kudrettin Mosque (Agios Philippos Church), the fountain is recalled as one of three fountains dating to the Komnenos period. In Chrysanthos Filifídis's work, the Dragon Fountain, the Theodore Temardhokos Fountain, and the Georger Empokhos Fountain of this period are also mentioned.
