Hasan Paşa Mosque was built in 1883 on the site of an earlier small mosque that had stood in the same place. Although nothing is known about its first phase, its second phase, dated 1883, reflects a late-period interpretation of classical Ottoman mosque architecture. The mosque of this period had an elevated (fevkani) plan and was notable for a single-domed prayer hall, a three-bay porch covered with domes, and a minaret with a kiosk-style balcony. This phase, showing the influence of the Orientalist style, presented an appearance reflecting late Ottoman aesthetics in its ornamentation and architectural details.
