The Nazım Ofluoğlu Köşk was built in 1904 (AH 1322). With a garden, two stories, and a central-hall plan type, the structure is an elegant example reflecting the civil architectural sensibility of its era. With its ground floor built of stone and its upper floors using the lath-and-plaster (bağdadi) method, the mansion achieved both durability and aesthetic harmony through these differences in material. The building was situated within a garden enclosed by high walls for the sake of privacy and was used as a permanent residence. From the raised garden gate one passes to the veranda, and from there to the central hall on the ground floor.
