Fethiye Mosque, in the Yeni Mahalle quarter of central Kars, is a former church converted into a mosque. As a church it was known as the Alexander Nevsky Church or the Cossack Church. Built at the end of the 19th century, it is among the oldest structures in the area. It was later used for a time by various public institutions before being converted into a mosque.
