Editor's Note
It is one of the surviving examples in the city of buildings in the Baltic architectural style. The building has two storeys. Made of finely cut basalt stone, its exterior walls are undecorated, as in the last examples of the architecture of this period. After the proclamation of the Republic the building was used as an office building by official institutions. Following its restoration in 1995 it began to be used as the Traffic Branch Directorate. Today the building is not in use.
