The Hasan Saçanoğlu Mosque was first built in 1770. Although there is no direct inscription naming its founder, it is thought that the founder was Saçan Hasanoğlu Ahmed Ağa, who in 1786 had the İçkale Fatih Mosque repaired and whose grave lies near the Tomb of Seyyid Burhaneddin. The building, today also known as the 'Kartal Yeni Mosque,' stands in Kayseri's Hacı Velet Quarter beside the Hisarcık road and remains open for worship. The mosque has a rectangular, north-south oriented plan.
