The Gürcü Mosque (Georgian Mosque) stood in the Gürcü neighborhood inside the city walls. After entering the walls through the Kiçi Gate, it lay at the end of today's Kiçi Kapı Avenue. The building was a small neighborhood mosque with a pavilion-type minaret on it. This mosque was most likely built by Gürcü Melek Hatun, together with the tomb belonging to her that must have stood beside it. She lived during the period when Kayseri was subject to the Ilkhanid state and, according to the inscription on her tomb, died in 1323 AD. The mosque, however, in the 20th.
