This historic tomb structure to the north of the Sahabiye Madrasa has a multi-layered past stretching from the Roman period to the Seljuk era. The lower part of the building was constructed in the Roman period in the 4th century AD. Built of black cut stone, it is a rectangular-plan structure running east to west and covered by a single vault. There are two small ventilation windows each on its eastern and western façades. Entry is through a door on the northern façade shifted toward the western end. In the 12th century, the Seljuks reused this Roman structure as a mausoleum and built a new story on top of it.
