The bath's endowment deed of 1559 states that it was built in 1542 by the judge Bedreddin Mahmud. Constructed as a double bath (çifte hamam), the hot room of the men's section consists of three iwans, two private cells, and one cooling alcove, while the hot room of the women's section consists of four private cells without iwans. The men's section comprises, in sequence, the disrobing room, laundry, lavatory, the warm room, and the hot room. The women's section consists of the disrobing room, warm room, corridor, hot room, and four private cells.
