Editor's Note
It seems highly likely that the remains of this church were part of the Basileias Complex, built by Basil the Great of Caesarea between roughly 372 and 379. However, to evaluate the building conclusively, it needs to be examined through archaeological sounding and its surroundings fully uncovered. The structure, which runs east-west and is understood to have had a three-aisled plan scheme, has largely collapsed, and much of its facing stone has been removed. It is understood that the entrance was on the western facade and that traces of niches remain on the northern wall.
