Editor's Note
A small number of old gravestones have been found scattered within the Erkilet Cemetery. The presence of the date AH 1187 (AD 1773-1774) on one of these stones indicates that the cemetery has been in use since at least the 18th century. The cemetery continues to actively serve as a burial ground to this day.
