Editor's Note
The Erzâde Mescidi (Masjid) is thought to have been built most likely in the second half of the 19th century. It was designed as a single-space neighborhood masjid. The mosque is entered through a door set toward the north of the western facade. The mosque's roof was closed with wooden beams laid east-west over cushions placed on two wooden columns. The mihrab in the middle of the southern facade is arranged as a semicircular niche, decorated with rumi and palmette motifs. This ornamentation was created using a stencil dipped in blue paint.
