Editor's Note
In 1718, Muhammed Mehmet Paşa, son of Hacı Ali Ağa of Erkilet, while building the Nişancı Mehmet Paşa Mosque, added a six-room madrasa to the north of the mosque. The madrasa no longer exists today. However, just beyond the mosque's courtyard entrance gate, a recent structure has been built over remains thought to belong to the madrasa wall. These remains are believed to have belonged to the madrasa.
