The mosque located in the Orta Quarter of Bilen village, in the Hemşin district of Rize province, bears a repair inscription on a window shutter on its west facade reading "Repaired in the year 1312 AH." Although there is no earlier inscription giving the building's date, it is dated to the 18th century. The mosque was built on a rectangular plan running north-south, with the main structure in the log (çantı) technique with throat-jointed corners over a ground floor of rough ashlar and cut stone. The southwest corner section of the three-part ground floor is entered through a door on the south side of the west facade.
