Location: It stands in the Bahar Quarter (Badara), 4 km from the center of the Hemşin district of Rize. History: The sole inscription concerning the mosque is on the keystone of the entrance arch. It reads: The benefactor and doer of good deeds, El Hac Süleyman Ağa and his son Muhammed, the year 1217 AH (1802-03). Archival documents record that the mosque was first built by the villagers and later rebuilt by Hacı İbrahim, one of the village residents. In 1769 the post of imam and preacher was given to Selim, son of the founder, who agreed to serve voluntarily.
