The mosque located in the Sırt/Merkez Quarter of Çeşmeli village, in the Çayeli district of Rize province, may have been built around 1812 CE, based on the dates 1228 and 1244 AH on the jamb of the prayer hall entrance. The mosque was built with rough ashlar walls at the prayer hall level, throat-jointed corners, a gallery level entirely of wood in the log (çantı) technique, and a rectangular plan on the exterior. Its facades feature two-story rectangular guillotine windows, and the windows on the south facade are round-arched on the interior.
