Location: It stands in the Yukarı (Upper) Quarter of Dereköy, also known as Velku or Velküy-i İspir, in the İkizdere district of Rize. History: Also called the Sırt Quarter Mosque, an inscription written in modern Turkish on marble to the right of the medrese entrance gives the building's date of construction as 1680, while the inscription at the mihrab bears the date 1338 AH (1920). No other inscriptions besides these two have been identified. Three separate records concerning the building have been found.
