Editor's Note
This historic fountain in the Ulucami Quarter (formerly Zeno) of Çaykara was built in 1949 by master Ahmet Yazıcı of Hopşera. The inscription reads "Sahibul hayrat İsmail..." (the benefactor İsmail), but the full name of the person who commissioned the fountain has not survived. For this reason it is popularly known as the "Uryan Fountain."
