Editor's Note
The building bears four inscriptions of different dates. The one dated 1229 (1813-1814) is at the lower west side of the minbar canopy. The inscription dated 1239 (1823-1824) is at the lower east side of the minbar canopy. One of those dated 1289 (1872-1873) is on the upper part of the eastern of the wooden door leaves. It is a mosque dominated by dense hand-drawn patterns and featuring original woodwork. The Kabataş Quarter Mosque sits on slightly sloping, east-west-oriented land and was built in the masonry system using stone.
