Editor's Note
The Pınarlar Bridge is a single-span stone bridge with a semicircular arch, built north-south over the Süllü Stream, which flows north from the Black Sea Mountains, on the Pınarlar-Yavuz Kemal road southwest of the Dereli district of Giresun. Although it lies off the medieval northern Anatolian caravan route, it formed part of the caravan road used from the 18th century onward. Built almost entirely of tuff stone with the fill-wall technique, it is among the region's wide bridges, with a deck 15.36 metres long and 6 metres wide.
