Editor's Note
The mosque was built in 1920. Its founder, Hacı Hulûsî Baba, belonged to the Qadiri order. Along this path he studied in Balkh, Bukhara, Khorasan, Ashgabat, the Hejaz, Damascus, Jerusalem, Egypt, and Baghdad. He then came to Fatsa, where he opened a tekke (dervish lodge) to spread the teachings of the Qadiri order and became its sheikh. With the closure of tekkes, lodges, and tombs in 1925, this building was kept open for worship under the name "Tekke Mosque / Hulûsî Baba Mosque," with Hacı Hulûsî Baba appointed as its imam.
