Emir Kümbet Türbesi is a tomb in Aybastı, Ordu; In the year 1105, on the Perşembe Plateau of Aybastı, where Turks first set foot on the lands of Ordu province, a fierce battle took place between a 10,000-strong army led by Danişmend Gazi, Bey of the Danişmendoğlu, and the much larger 70,000-strong force of the State of Trebizond.

In the year 1105, on the Perşembe Plateau of Aybastı, where Turks first set foot on the lands of Ordu province, a fierce battle took place between a 10,000-strong army led by Danişmend Gazi, Bey of the Danişmendoğlu, and the much larger 70,000-strong force of the State of Trebizond. Danişmend Gazi fought valiantly against the vastly superior enemy, but suffered heavy losses and was forced to withdraw. Wounded but alive, he took the Danişmend Beylik back to its capital, Niksar, and died some time later.
